Primitive Ways Records formed in early 2010 as an outlet for Laura and Ryan to promote shows they were doing as well as to release the art (Laura) and music (Ryan) they were creating. Finally getting a plan together in the summer of 2010 and adding another member to the group (Patrick who also plays drums in Squall with Ryan) to help make the bigger projects we have planned easier to pull off.

03/19/2012 - It's been a hell of a busy month over here at Primitive Ways as we've just announced that we'll be releasing the new Occultist tape and after just a little bit more paper work, it should be off to the plant sometime this week. So that means we'll have 2 tapes coming out at the same time! So there will be packages and whatnot for people who want to score both releases so stay tuned for links to order the tape and tickets to upcoming shows. As for now, you can download both of the releases before they hit the streets in the music page! As of right now it's just 320kbps MP3's but we're working on getting FLAC tracks up there.
Speaking of shows it's looking like we'll be injecting Raleigh with a pretty decent dose of hardcorepunkmetalfreak-dom this summer and we're kicking it off in a big way with PRIMITIVE WAYS PRESENTS: GHOUL W/ OCCULTIST (VA), BACKSLIDER (PA) + PRIAPUS @ KINGS at the end of May! Shortly after that we have a few other gigs we're working on (note the Proselyte date has moved to June 29th!) so keep your eyes peeled for flyers and keep checking the bottom of the page for info for all the shows as well as links to advance tickets and all the bands music pages!
